The Problem

Batch Size Zero was started to respond to a pressing market need. Traditional industrial manufacturing processes such as injection moulding have such a high upfront cost. While often perfect for very high volume products, this upfront cost and design lock-in that happens with tooling can stifle new designs as the risk is seen as too great.

The solution

3D printing can achieve a vast array of geometry’s with no specialised tooling. As designers we find this revolutionary as it opens up the ability to produce in small batches, with high variation and also give us the ability to revises and update designs when needed with no impact on cost.
